I received my contract in the mail today. Along with it, I received more information on where I will be living.
Komono town population is about 40,000. In summer the temp is about 28-25C and in winter its 7-4C and has little snow. 1 hour from Nagoya (third largest city in Japan). The train station is less than a 10 minute walk from my place. Within a five minute walk there is a supermarket, convience store, restaurant, and a library. More shops are a 10-20 in bike ride down the road.
Workplace:
When not at a school I will be at the Board of Education, a new building that, on the top floor, you can get a bird's eye view of Komono. It is a 5 min walk away from my apartment.
Accomodation:
I pay 37,000 yen for an apartment that's "fantastic, really big (for Japan) with two bedrooms, one lounge, a big kitchen, bathroom and toilet. It's a second floor apartment in a block of for, is sunny, in good condition and all together a really nice place to live." I get a washing machine, TV, AC, oil stove, bedding, bed, refigerator, bicycle, gas range, microwave, kitchenware, etc. The apartment is called Tokiwa's Garden Heights.
